What's the Difference Between Jasmine and Basmati Rice?

Jasmine is soft, slightly sticky and fragrant, popular in Thai and Vietnamese cooking. Basmati has longer, separate grains and suits biryani, pulao and Indian dishes.

How Much Water Do I Use for Jasmine Rice?

A common starting point is about 1¼ to 1½ cups of water per cup of rinsed rice. Follow the pack and adjust to your cooker.

Which Rice Should I Use for Sushi?

Use a Japanese-style short-grain rice such as Koshihikari, Akafuji or Calrose. It turns sticky and glossy, which helps rolls hold together.

Do You Sell Rice in Bulk?

Yes. Basmati comes in 20kg and 38kg sacks and sushi rice in 22.68kg sacks. Jasmine is currently sold in 5kg bags.

When Will My Order Arrive?

Order before 6am for same-day delivery in Dubai. We deliver Monday to Saturday across Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi, and Dubai orders over AED 150 are delivered free. You can also collect from our DIP 2 warehouse, 8am to 5pm.
