Roasted eel, 255g fillet. This is a larger pack of frozen pre-cooked Japanese-style unagi (freshwater eel). Unagi is a fine-dining ingredient and the centerpiece of unagi don (eel rice bowl), unagi nigiri sushi, and Japanese summer menus. This is the mid-foodservice portion size between the 170G and 330G fillets on Addtocart.ae, ideal for sushi bars and Japanese restaurants serving unagi daily. Sold under the GGFT name.

A sushi bar uses it for unagi don (unadon), unagi nigiri sushi, grilled eel atop sushi rice, hitsumabushi, nagoya-style eel rice preparation, and eel rolls (unagi maki). They are pre-cooked. Thaw them and they are ready to plate.

Keep it frozen at -18°C. Thaw it in the fridge before you use it. Do not freeze it again once it has thawed. Allergens on the pack: Fish (eel), soy, wheat (gluten); verify pack for current allergen list. At home you use it the same way, just more slowly.

Questions We Get Asked

Do you sell tobiko and masago?

Yes. There's tobiko from Daiei (Japan) and GGFT in several colours, and GGFT masago in red and orange, mostly in 500g packs.

Is any of it sashimi grade?

The GGFT Sea Urchin Uni is labelled sashimi grade and ready to eat. For everything else, check the product page and the pack before serving it raw.

Do you have frozen edamame?

Yes, GGFT Peeled Edamame (1kg) and GGFT Edamame in the shell with salt (500g).

Can I make my own gyoza?

Yes. Tokyo Gyoza Wrappers from Japan come 24 to a pack, and Tokyo Wonton Wrappers 30 to a pack.

When will my order arrive?

Order before 6am and we'll deliver the same day where available. Delivery in Dubai is free on orders over AED 150. You can also collect from the GGFT warehouse in Dubai Investment Park 2, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 5pm (closed on Sundays and public holidays).
