Short-grain rice, 22.68kg (50lb foodservice sack). This is a 22.68KG (50lb) foodservice sack of Japanese-style short grain rice — the Koshihikari variety, one of the most prized short grain rices in Japanese cooking, known for its exceptional stickiness, glossy sheen, sweet flavour, and chewy bite. Sold under the GGFT name.

A sushi bar uses it for Sushi rice, nigiri, maki, hand rolls, chirashi, Onigiri and rice balls, Donburi bowls, gyudon, katsudon, oyakodon, unadon, and Japanese curry and steamed rice sides.

Keep it somewhere cool and dry. Close the pack as soon as you have taken what you need. Origin on the label: Vietnam. This is a bulk pack for a kitchen that gets through it, not a home bottle.

This is our Japanese grocery for Dubai and beyond, stocked first for restaurant kitchens and just as happily for home cooks. GGFT has been a Japanese food supplier for restaurants in the UAE since 2004, and Addtocart.ae has been online since 2020. We talk to chefs before we import anything, and most of these Japanese ingredients come straight from Japan, with some from China, Singapore and Thailand.

Sushi bars lean on us for their sushi ingredients. These are the ones kitchens come back for most:

  • Sushi Nori: GGFT Sushi Nori Gold in 50- and 100-sheet packs.
  • Miso: Marukome White Miso in a 1kg pack.
  • Soy Sauce: Kikkoman Soy Sauce by the litre.
  • Panko and Tempura: RYK Panko and Nisshin tempura flour for the fryer.

Chuka wakame and Tokon bonito flakes round out the shelf. Every price is shown on the page, so there's no quote to chase, whether you're buying a single pack or buying wholesale for a busy kitchen. Orders are delivered across Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi, Monday to Saturday. Running a restaurant? Our page for restaurants explains how we work with kitchens.

Questions We Get Asked

Is this a Japanese grocery store in Dubai?

We're an online shop with delivery rather than a walk-in supermarket. If you'd like to collect your order, you're welcome at the GGFT warehouse in Dubai Investment Park 2, Monday to Saturday, from 8am to 5pm.

Do you supply restaurants and hotels?

Yes, that's where we started. Kitchens order the same way as everyone else, with clear prices on every product and kitchen-size packs where we have them.

Can I buy smaller packs for home?

Of course. Plenty of items come in home sizes, such as the 50-sheet nori pack and the 1-litre Kikkoman.

When will my order arrive?

Order before 6am and we'll deliver the same day where available. Delivery in Dubai is free on orders over AED 150. Our delivery page has the details.

Where do your Japanese products come from?

Most come from Japan, with some from China, Singapore and Thailand. Across the whole shop we import from 23 countries, and we ask chefs what they actually use before we bring something in.
