Whole green mung beans, 1kg. Sprout them for a salad or a stir-fry. Cook them whole when you want the bean, not the split dal. Sundal and other snacks use them. A vegetarian bowl uses them as the protein.

The kilo suits a kitchen that sprouts a tray and a home cook who does the same. Rinse, soak, then sprout clean. A warm dirty jar is how sprouts go off.

Cool and dry in the bag until you start the soak. Do not store wet beans in the dry-goods shelf.
