Tobiko, 500g. This is golden-orange flying fish roe — the small, crunchy roe prized in sushi for its signature pop and gentle briny-sweet flavour. Tobiko is larger than masago (capelin roe) and smaller than ikura (salmon roe), and the gold colour adds a bright, finish to rolls and platters. Sold under the Daiei name.

A sushi bar uses it for Sushi rolls, gunkan-maki and, California rolls, Sashimi and platter garnish, and Poke bowls and donburi.

Keep it frozen at -18°C. Do not freeze it again once it has thawed. Origin on the label: Japan.
