Dust cakes, doughnuts, and pastries. Beat it into buttercream and royal icing. Macarons and meringue work can call for it. Don't swap it into a recipe that wants caster if you need the crystal. This bag is the powder. 500g is a home bag and a small pastry bag.

Keep it cool and dry, and seal it or it clumps. Don't sift it beside a steamer. A busy bakery will open more than one bag. Sift before you dust if the bag has sat.
